I have been fly fishing since I was ten years old, when my dad gave me my first fly rod for Christmas. It was a 7 1/2ft. fiberglass Fenwick 5wt. On my twelfth birthday my dad gave me an 8 1/2ft Heddon Model 20 bamboo rod. I still have both rods today and fish the Heddon often. Glenn Brackett restored the Heddon for me two years ago and did a wonderful job. I began collecting and fishing bamboo rods fifteen years ago and I am seriously addicted. I primarily like to fish for trout in the Colorado Rockies and Catskills of New York. My wife also enjoys fly fishing and loves fishing with cane. We spend our summers and most of the fall at our home in Crested Butte,CO and the rest of the time at our other home on the Jersey Coast. My favorite type of trout fishing is high mountain meadow streams with wild cutthroats. I also enjoy snow skiing, surfing, Harley Davidson motorcycles and the company of my three dogs.
